“Jade Dynasty: New Fantasy” has just launched globally, we’ll provide a brief overview of each of the Classes (Sects) and the current state of them in terms of PVE & PVP in the game, our remarks are based on the current CN meta, so take it with a grain of salt.
There are 8 playable Classes (Sects): Jadeon, Lupin, Incense, Vim, Sky Song, Southern Border, Long Evity & Poisoner.
Jadeon
As the most popular and righteous sect in the original novel, members of the Jadeon Sect have group control, spell explosion, and support skills, The Jadeon Sect can be considered as a “Jack of all trades” kind of class on the battlefield. Unfortunately, Jadeon is quite fragile, and you’ll probably need to spend quite a bit to get them to be powerful, especially for the end game.
Recommended for Players willing to buy packs
Analysis:
The awkward part about the current state of Jadeon is that the burst damage isn’t quite as good as Incense, too many setups are needed in order to maximize your damage, but it’s quite fragile, so you usually won’t survive long enough to do your damage.

Lupin
Members of the Lupin Sect are like butterflies on the battlefield, they inherit the traits of temptress from the novel. They can deal damage by picking flowers and flying leaves, sacrificing themselves for group resurrection, and can cloak themselves. You’ll be able to concentrate fire on a key target if you have a Lupin in your party, high demands from attributes for the end game.
Recommended for Players willing to buy packs
Analysis:
Speed is the No.1 factor for “Seal” classes, so this is extremely useful for Lupin in PVP, and with the powerful group resurrection, comebacks in PVP are often not unexpected when you have a Lupin in your party.

Incense
Members of the Incense Class can control the power of the burning sun, and they also possess high burst damage and combo attack, their single attack spells cause more damage. They can inspect and summon a spirit to assist with the battle. Personal defense is on the weak side, need to be controlled quite a bit by the player.
Analysis:
Due to their excellent skill sets, Incense is still considered to be the top Magic class for the end game, they usually occupy the core magic DPS in a party, extremely high burst damage.

Members of the Vim Sect can deal extremely high damage, they can be considered a warrior class, they’ll often put themselves in danger, they possess both offense and defense, can be the strongest class with decent gear in mid-game.

Analysis:
The problem with Vim is their longevity, battles in PVP often go on for more than 10 rounds, which becomes difficult for Vim members. Vim members are still highly favored for PVE, they’re usually the top damage dealers for the first 5 rounds.

Sky Song
Members of the Sky Song Sect are considered healers, they possess healing, support, resurrection, and magical damage skills, they’re able to buff, cleanse party members or single heal large amounts. They can also cast invincibility or absorb damage for party members.
Recommended for F2P Players
Analysis:
Sky Song is a physical support class, physical classes were weaker in the previous meta, they have gotten more useful with the newly released dungeon, with their tanky attributes and healing.

Southern Border
Members of the Southern Border Sect are healers, they use the power of nature to assist their party members, they possess anti-sealing & group healing skills, are very adept at healing over time, group healing, group resurrection, and anti-sealing. They’re also able to buff magical damage.
Analysis:
In PVE, Southern Border members are needed for the Sword Dungeon BOSS to buff team members’ magical defense. In PVP, Southern Border members can buff magical damage, they’re best paired with magic DPS classes.

Long Evity
The members of Long Evity have their own unique style of spells. They belong to the group seal control profession. They have the ability to seal and control the enemy, and they can also absorb all elements to provide bonus effects. They can draw a cage to group seal their opponents, and use the 5 elements to make themselves immune from damage and debuffs, they can also summon a magic door to block the enemy’s attacks.
Analysis:
Even though Long Evity is more popular for difficult PVEs, they aren’t as fast as Lupin members in PVP, however, they can still use their Bagua barrier for defense, their skill sets are quite useful in both PVE & PVP, especially against Poisoner and Vim members.

Poisoner
Members of the Poisoner Sect are good as physical DPS for protracted battles, they specialize in poison skills.
Analysis:
Members of the Poisoner Sect will always have a place in high difficulty PVE & Group PVP as long as their death confinement skill is still available.
