The upcoming mobile game [Code Geass Genesic Re;CODE], a first smartphone game of Code Geass that brings together all the characters from the Code Geass series will be available in August 2021 in Japan.
Sunrise first revealed Genesic ReCODE at the Code Geass new project announcement stream held in December 2020. It initially planned to launch the mobile game in Spring 2021. With the new release window in August 2021, it has technically moved the launch to Summer.
Genesic ReCODE will feature a crossover story involving characters from multiple Code Geass titles, up until Lelouch of the Re;surrection. It will also include the side stories released in-between, such as Akito the Exiled, Oz the Reflection, and Renya of Darkness. In lieu of the Knightmare mechs, players will directly collect and raise the characters themselves to be placed in RPG and strategy battles.
The mobile game’s official Twitter account is currently holding a poll to decide the app’s icon. There are two options available: one fully showing Lelouch’s face, while the other focuses on his Geass eye. This poll will last for a week.
Code Geass Genesic Re;CODE will release on Android and iOS mobile devices in Japan in August 2021.
