General Info
So far in [DISGAEA RPG], Global Innocents exist for the six basic stats, as well as two additional ones for EXP and HL. They all fall into one of four categories:
Foundation (F): HP or SPD
Physical (P): ATK or DEF
Brain (B): INT or RES
Ambition (A): EXP or HL.
HP and SPD Innocents can be determined with 100% certainty, and all other types range from a decent guess to a high degree of certainty depending on the situation.
The Method
Navigate to your Innocent List (Party -> Innocent List) and scroll down to your locked Innocents. The default sort order for this list (Sorted by Type & Desc) is as follows:
HP (F) -> ATK (P) -> DEF (P) -> INT (B) -> RES (B) -> SPD (F) -> EXP (A) -> HL (A)
F Innocents
Since HP and SPD are separated, any F Innocent at the start of the list is guaranteed to be HP, and any F Innocent that is after a B (or P if you don’t have any B) is guaranteed to be SPD.
P, B, & A Innocents
The three other types differ depending on their spot on the list. For example, if you have 50 P Innocents, you can say with near certainty that the first one is ATK, and the last one is DEF. The closer you move towards the center of the list, the smaller that certainty becomes. (If you have a smaller amount, such as <= 10, it’s more of a toss up. The higher the #, the higher the degree of certainty for the ends of the spectrum).
(The following paragraph is theoretical, but I am working through my Innocent List 1 by 1 in order to fully confirm it.)
However, you can become unbalanced with either luck of the draw or repeated farming of one type without farming the other. (I.E. having 5 ATK and 45 DEF). To help counter act this, if you select # 10 on your list and got DEF, and then followed up with #9 and got ATK you would know that 1-8 were ATK and the now #9 – End was DEF. (This is assuming you did not acquire any new Innocents in your list after establishing these split points. Though, if you really want to go down this rabbit hole, you could take notes on your list and its split points so you know where new Innocents fall relative to your known data.)
Closing
Once you find what you’re looking for, you can tap the Innocent, click on Details in the item info near the top, and then navigate straight to the Item World for that Item.
Also, upon acquiring equipment, their innocents are unsorted and are just tacked onto the end of the list. In order to sort them, you need to either restart the app, or back out to the title screen.
Random (Slightly) Unrelated Tidbits
- If you haven’t already, make sure you’re using all of your shop refreshes and buy every legendary item that appears, especially armors. (I highly recommend getting to Rank 20 ASAP for boots. They do start appearing at Rank 19, but I honestly find more at 20 since they aren’t the highest tiered item.) It doesn’t help if you farm a ton of Innocents, but don’t have any POP 9-10 gear to put them in.
- If you don’t need boots, need to save on HL, or haven’t reached shop rank 15 or 19/20 yet, or simply want cheap innocents, you can reset your shop rank to 1, since Innocents are not related to the rank of the item. The more locked Innocents you have, the easier it is to tell what you’ve got.
- I would say that HL and SPD have the highest priority for your farming since we have the 20 EXP Innocents from the free gifts. Next up would be EXP, followed by Rare/Legendary ATK/INT, and then all of the defensive stats. (HP, DEF, and RES). YMMV depending on your priorities.
- Don’t throw all of your Innocents into your Warehouse. If you aren’t selling the item and don’t need the slots or Innocents on it, just leave them be. You don’t want to end up like me with 175+ slots of my warehouse taken up, simply waiting for Etna’s Resort to finally dump them all.
- SPD truncates its decimals and is additive (not % based). If you put a +0.6 and a +0.3 SPD Innocent on gear with 3 SPD, that gear will still only give 3 SPD and not 3.9 SPD. If you can’t reach the next integer value, those Innocents might be better used on a separate piece of gear. (Common and Rare aren’t too expensive to move around, so don’t be afraid to rearrange as needed.)
