Theon
Role: Universal (Resistance Type)

Usage: Guild Crusade (Altar of Fear)
Analysis: His Skills were quite out of place when game first launched, not useful either for attack or tanking, after some adjustments, he has now become a resistance character for Guild Crusades in the beginning stages, that role will be replaced by a Legendary hero in later stages.
Juju
Role: Ranged (AOE Attack Type)
Rating: C
Usage: PVP / Auto Grind / Any Low Level Dungeon
Gear: Oath of the Assassin (Increases Crit Rate)
Analysis: Many players’ favorite in the beginning of the game, paired with Neo can deal massive damage to multiple opponents in PVP, however as the PVP meta progressed, no Rare heroes are used in PVP.
Cosette
Role: Ranged (Single Attack Type)
Rating: B
Usage: Single Boss Dungeons
Gear: Oath of the Assassin (Increases Crit Rate)
Analysis: Main DPS for the dungeons in the beginning stages, her passive’s additional damage& 3rd skill’s DEF Ignore are very useful for BOSS dungeons, replaced later as stronger single type attack DPS becomes available.
Serena
Role: Universal (Functional Type)
Rating: A
Usage: Any PVE Dungeons
Gear: Oath of the Berserker (Increases ATK) or Oath of the SoothSayer (Decreases Skill Cooldown)
Analysis: She’s often used a support type hero since all her skills triggers a healing effect when used, and also provides ATK decrease and ATK increase buffs, her ultimate’s cooldown reset is also extremely useful. When paired with Shay, you can almost continuously cast without interruption.
Iota
Role: Tank (Suppression Type)
Rating: B
Usage: Group Battle (Poison King) / Any Low Level Dungeon
Gear: Oath of the Protector (Increases Block Rate)
Analysis: A ‘tough’ tank, her passive stacks DEF, she also heals, a transitional character in the beginning for dungeons that needs defensive heroes. She’s can be used as a suppression character in Group Battle (Poison King), however, since everyone has Rachel, so she seldom gets used.
Casper
Role: DPS (Single Attack Type)
Rating: C
Usage: Any Low Level Dungeon
Analysis: Another character with skills that are out of place, all her damage relates to her passive ability “Tracker’s Mark”, her active skill 2 is triggered based the number of times her Mark is stacked, and her damage is quite low, she has been quite useless since the game’s launch.
Shay
Role: Support (Functional Type)
Rating: S
Usage: PVE Dungeons
Analysis: The Strongest Functional Support in PVE, her Ultimate which increases the Ultimate Skill gauge of all allies is extremely useful, and her passive ability which steals the opponents Ultimate Skill gauge helps her to quickly to use her ultimate to recharge her allies. Paired with Lukey‘s Ultimate Skill which increase Ultimate attack speed can greatly increase PVE pacing.
Ming
Role: DPS (Suppression Type)
Rating: B
Usage: Group Battle (Abyss Demon) / Any Low Level Dungeon
Gear: Oath of the Assassin (Increases Crit Rate) or Oath of the Berserker (Increases ATK)
Analysis: Her Skill effects are similar to Cosette, however, all her attacks are AOE, since she has ATK increase buff, she’s good for cleaning up multiple opponents, the downside is her survivability. She can be used for some Main Quest lines and to grind dungeons in the beginning stages, can be used as the suppression character in 8 people Group Battles now.
Shane
Role: DPS (Universal Type)
Rating: A
Usage: PVP / Group Battle (Ice King) / Single Boss Dungeons
Gear: Oath of the Assassin (Increases Crit Rate)
Analysis: It looks like Netmarble intends for Shane to be able to play multiple roles, her passive ability’s DMG increase ability, and her teleporting ability that can counter specific opponents which allows her to excel both in PVE & PVP, she’s many player’s primary character to use in the beginning.
Windigo
Role: Tank (Suppression Type)
Rating: B
Usage: Group Battle (Shane) / Any Low Level Dungeon
Gear: Oath of the Holy Knight (Increases DEF)
Analysis: I think he has the biggest model in all of the characters, his passive provides AOE skill damage increase, and nearly all of his attacks are AOE control based skills which made him very active in the PVP scene for quite a while, but has since been abandoned like Juju. He has now been adjusted to act as one of the Suppression Characters for the Group Battle (Shane).
Neo
Role: Ranged (AOE Attack Type)
Rating: A
Usage: PVP / Any dungeons with multiple enemies
Gear: Oath of the Assassin (Increases Crit Rate)
Analysis: Neo’s main usage is his ability to pull the opponent which made him extremely useful in PVP, but like the other Rare characters have now been retired, his main usage now has been relegated to dungeons that require many control based damage output.

Valdur
Role: Tank (Resistance Type)
Rating: B
Usage: Guild Crusade(Altar of Silence)
Gear: Oath of the Holy Knight (Increases DEF)
Analysis: Valdur like Theon, his skills were confusing, he has now been adjusted as Guild Crusade’s Resistance Type Character, there will be a Legendary Grade character that can replace him in later stages.
Rudy
Role: Universal (Suppression Type)
Rating: B
Usage: Group Battle (Black Knight) / Main Quest Line (Black Knight)
Gear: Oath of the Protector (Increases Block Rate)
Analysis: A Rudy with a broken sword and without a shield, even though his skills are still defense based, but is completely inadequate compared to Rudy (Heyday), (which makes sense, I guess), for now, he can only be used for Black Knight’s related quest lines and Group Battles.
Eileene (with Hoodie)
Role: Universal (AOE Attack Type)
Rating: C
Usage: Any Low Level Dungeon
Gear: Oath of the Assassin (Increases Crit Rate)
Analysis: Her abilities were pretty evident in the Prologue, not useful either in PVE or PVP, TPTB don’t seem to have any plans to adjust this version of Eileene.
Rare+
Cheng Chen (Nestra’s Disciple)
Role: DPS (Single Attack Type)
Rating: A
Usage: Single Boss Dungeons
Gear: Oath of the Assassin (Increases Crit Rate)
Analysis: This version of Cheng Chen is clearly defined as Single Attack DPS, her passive’s crit. increase buff & active skill’s ATK SPED increase pushes her damage output far above any of the other DPS in the same grade, even approaching some Legendary Heroes, as a rare+ hero, she’s also easier to level, that’s why she’s a favorite for many in the beginning stages.
Lukey (Nestra’s Disciple)
Role: Ranged (Functional Type)
Rating: A
Usage: PVE Dungeons
Gear: Oath of the Transcender (Increases All Skill Levels) or Oath of the Assassin (Increases Crit Rate)
Analysis: Not that much different than the common grade Lukey, just with a few extra effect, the main attraction is his Ultimate resets his skills’ cooldown, so the preference is to train this version of Lukey, a must for PVE dungeon speed team.
Melissa (Nestra’s Disciple)
Role: Support (Healing Type)
Rating: A
Usage: PVE Dungeons
Gear: Oath of the Soothsayer (Decreases Skill Cooldown)
Analysis: The alternative for players without Karin, her crit. resistance & shielding with healing allows her to defend & support for continuous battle. Her ability to decrease opponent’s DEF also greatly increase our backrow’s damage output, her Ultimate’s debuff removal can be a great asset in critical moments, she’s an excellent stand-in until you get Karin.
Tristan (Nestra’s Disciple)
Role: Tank (Universal Type)
Rating: C
Usage: Any Low Level Dungeons
Analysis: Still basically the same as his Greater counterpart, just with skills with slightly higher stats.
Henry (Elena’s Sword)
Role: Support (Healing Type)
Rating: A
Usage: PVE Dungeons / Any Dungeons with mobs with Paralysis abilities
Gear: Oath of the Soothsayer (Decreases Skill Cooldown)
Analysis: The other stand-in for Karin, the only character with 3 healing skills at the moment, allows for greater fault tolerance in dungeons, however his resistance ability is limited to certain scenarios, so not suitable in the beginning stages.
Lene (Elena’s Sword)
Role: DPS (Functional Type)
Rating: A~B
Usage: Group Battle (Pirate) / Some High Level Dungeons
Gear: Oath of the Assassin (Increases Crit Rate)
Analysis: Her ability has been dramatically increased in the current meta, her passive’s buff, immunity shielding and DEF decrease abilities have made her an all around functional DPS, can increase damage output for the backrow while taking damage. She has completely replaced her common counterpart‘s role in Pirate related dungeons, also excels in other single BOSS dungeons.
Kade (Elena’s Sword)
Role: Tank (Universal Type)
Rating: C
Usage: Some Low & Mid Level Dungeons
Gear: Oath of the Holy Knight (Increases DEF)
Analysis: Even though he’s of a higher grade, his skills seem to have gone the other way, and completely lost what a tank should have.
Scott (Elena’s Sword)
Role: DPS (Single Attack Type)
Rating: A~B
Usage: Dungeons with Single BOSS
Analysis: A Rare+ grade DPS that’s available in the late stages, compared with the Rare+ Cheng Chen, he’s more of a burst damage type DPS, even though his overall DPS in on par with her, but due to the timing of his availability, he has to compete with Legendary & Legendary+ DPS characters, so he’s more likely to be used by newer players.
Seven Knights
Eileene (Heyday)
Role: Universal (AOE Attack Type)
Rating: S
Usage: PVP / PVE Dungeons with multiple opponents
Gear: Oath of the Assassin (Increases Crit Rate)
Analysis: The Queen of PVP! Her AOE skills not only does massive damage, but also provides shocking damage buffs, coupled with her passive ATK increase buff. If she gets the initial attacks, can produce massive burst damage with control abilities, still can be seen in PVP even in the Korean Server.
Rudy (Heyday)
Role: Tank (Pure Defense Type)
Rating: S
Usage: PVP / PVE Dungeons
Gear: Oath of the Protector (Increases Block Rate)
Analysis: The Perfect Tank, his passive DEF increase buff & his active Block rate increase greatly increases the whole party’s survivability, even though his attack skills don’t produce much damage, they all do long duration of debuff effects that can interrupt or slows their output date. His Ultimate’s debuff removal and shield also provides breathing room for your party.
Rachel
Role: DPS (Functional Type)
Rating: A
Usage: PVE Single BOSS Dungeons / Group Battle (Poison King)
Gear: Oath of the Berserker (Increases ATK) or Oath of the Transcender (Increases All Skill Levels)
Analysis: The Rare+ replacement for Rene, functional DPS, she has all the debuffs, such as DEF decrease, DMG increase, Block decrease, even though her own damage is mediocre , she can maximize the main DPS’s damage. Besides being the suppression character in Group Battle (Poison King), she can act as the buffer in other dungeons.
Dellons
Role: DPS (Universal Type)
Rating: S
Usage: PVP / PVE Single BOSS Dungeons
Gear: Oath of the Berserker (Increases ATK)
Analysis: The CRIT King, after the latest adjustment, all his attacks will definitely crit, so he can drop stacking crit on all his gear and concentrate on stacking ATK, along with his passive’s DMG increase, all his attacks does massive damage. He can be used as the main DPS or second DPS for most PVE situations, for PVP, whether he can land the first attack will greatly decide his output, need to be especially careful when setting up your party.
Spike
Role: Universal (AOE Attack Type)

Analysis: The Prince of PVP when the game first launched, his skill set was totally designed for PVP! AOE damage and control and buff removal, along with his passive’s Immortal ability made him extremely powerful in PVP, he has now been retired from the PVP scenes as more and more high damage output heroes with buff removal abilities have been added.

Eileene (Phoenix Empress)

Gear: Oath of the Assassin (Increases Crit Rate) or Oath of the Berserker (Increases ATK)
Analysis: Very similar to Spike, all her skills are designed for PVP! AOE damage and control and buff removal, however, different to Spike’s Immutable ability, she has the revival when killed ability instead, when you resurrect from death in Seven Knights 2, all your cooldowns are reset, so you can do another combo cast which can often turn the tables on your opponent.

Usage: PVP / Some Lower to Mid Level Dungeons
Gear: Oath of the Holy Knight (Increases DEF)
Analysis: The origin of Reflect Damage Tanks, completely opposite to Rudy, his skill set are offensive orientated instead. His 1st & Ultimate’s 2 taunts can pull all of enemies attack on himself and reflect massive damage back to them at the same time. DMG decrease Debuff & Healing makes him extremely tanky, however, he can only protect himself, not his party, most of the Dungeon BOSSes have AOE attack, so it’s hard for him to support the backrow heroes while tanking. In PVP late game, most meta heroes have hero type targeting abilities, can select & target other heroes after taunt effect ends, that has made him less popular than Rudy.
Karin
Role: Support (Universal Type)
Rating: S+
Usage: PVP / All PVE Dungeons
Gear: Oath of the Soothsayer (Decreases Skill Cooldown)
Analysis: The Legendary+ hero that broke the game, her powerful healing ability & currently irreplaceable party revival skill has made her No.1, even with multiple excellent support heroes added later on in the game. A must have for any player!
Four Lords of Old
Yeonhee
Role: Ranged (AOE Type)
Rating: A
Usage: PVP / Any Dungeons with multiple opponents
Gear: Oath of the Assassin (Increases Crit Rate)
Analysis: The epitome of AOE DPS, not only does her attacks cover a large area, they also bring a Debuff effect, very effective at mop ups, extremely useful for Quest lines & Dungeons with multiple opponents, quite dominate in early PVP too, the only downside is her skill animation is too long!

Scarlet Volley Claire
Role: Ranged (AOE Type)
Rating: A
Usage: PVP / Any Dungeons with multiple opponents
Gear: Oath of the Assassin (Increases Crit Rate)
Analysis: One of the dominant Ranged characters in early PVP, viable up about mid-game, Claire posses strong AOE damage and control, can put much pressure on the opponent if she can get the initial attack. She can be made even stronger when equipped with invulnerability or resurrection accessories, a must for PVP lowers in early game.
Sanguine Rose Miss Velvet
Role: DPS (Short/Mid-range Single Attack Type)
Rating: A
Usage: PVP / PVE Single BOSS Dungeons
Gear: Oath of the Assassin (Increases Crit Rate)
Analysis: Legendary+ Miss Velvet is your next option if you haven’t been able to draw Legendary+ Cosette or Shane. Her self-buff Crit. DMG increase and high damage Ultimate allows her to do incredible critical damage. She’s similar to Shane in PVP where she targets the opponent’s Ranged character, and her stealth ability can save herself from being targeted. Unfortunately, she’s quite easily replaceable in mid to late game, e.g. Legendary+ Shane outshines her in everyway.
