[Blue Archive] Yellow Strikers PVE Tier List & Analysis

Hasumi

EX Skill: Deal 574% of her attack power as damage to a single target (5 cost)

Normal Skill: When she defeats an enemy, reload immediately and increases her critical rate by 30% for 13 seconds

Passive Skill: Increases her critical damage by 14%

Sub Skill: Whenever she reloads, increase her critical rate by 50% on the next shot.

Analysis: Hatsumi’s kit is a bit odd. She’s a sniper but she’s a sniper that’s meant to be used for mobbing, even though she lacks any form of AoE. However, she makes up for this in that every time she gets a kill she replenishes her ammo and is nearly guaranteed to also 1 shot the next target after that, allowing her to chain kills. This allows for formidable damage output, although her bossing ability suffers for this. Her EX skill is way too expensive for the amount of damage it does, so avoid using it if possible.

Skill level priority: Passive skill -> Sub skill -> Normal skill

Tsurugi

EX Skill: Reloads immediately. Until her next reload changes her auto attack into an fan-shaped AoE that does 138% of her attack power, while also increasing her attack by 25.8% (3 cost, lasts for 2 reloads at level 5)

Normal Skill: When she lands the killing blow on an enemy restore HP equal to 116% of her healing power (10 second CD)

Passive Skill: Increases her movement speed by 14%

Sub Skill: Whenever she lands the killing blow an enemy there is a 30% chance to regenerate 1 ammo

Analysis: Tsurugi looks incredibly strong on paper, especially for things like EXP stage. She would go into a large group of clumped up enemies, activate her EX skill and then just go to town forever. However, the reality is she has a lot of issues. For starters, her default clip size is only 2 shots (which makes sense considering what her EX skill does). This means that she is nearly constantly reloading. Her main and sub skill will also only activate if she specifically is the one who gets the killing blow, which is very hard to guarantee given the low rate of fire of shotguns. Another issue is that if she DOES kill an enemy and her normal skill activates, she goes into an animation lock for a good 3-4 seconds, which usually means that the hp she just regained is gone anyway. However, she does have access to T4 bag so she is relatively tanky and she can put out a decent amount of damage due to having 2 separate multipliers on her EX skill. Niche but can be very powerful depending on the stage.

Skill level priority: Sub skill -> Normal skill -> Passive skill

Hoshino

EX Skill: Deals damage equal to 435% attack power to enemies within a fan-shaped range over 5 shots (4 cost, gains a stun after each shot at level 3)

Normal Skill: When she drops below 30% hp, recover health equal to 100% of her healing power (once per fight)

Passive Skill: Increases her defense power by 14%

Sub Skill: When using her EX skill gain a shield equal to 108% of her healing power

Analysis: Hoshino is another shotgun tank. She needs heavy investment, however, unlike the other shotgun tanks, she becomes very viable once you get a few skill ups and a T4 bag. Her normal skill allows you to save SP on healing her while her sub skill also makes her tankier while she is charging forwards with her EX. At level 3, her EX becomes an extremely powerful CC tool, allowing her to interrupt boss/enemy special attacks.

Skill level priority: Normal skill -> Sub skill -> Passive skill

Maki

EX Skill: Deal damage equal to 676% of her attack to an enemy and increases her attack by 41.9% for 30 seconds (5 cost, attack power increases at level 3 and 5)

Normal Skill: Every 25 seconds, mark an enemy and reduce their defense by 18.3% for 15 seconds.

Passive Skill: Increases her attack speed by 14%

Sub Skill: While attacking a marked enemy deal bonus damage equal to 14.9% of her attack power

Analysis: When it comes to fighting a single enemy, there is no stronger character in the game than Maki. Not only does she bring defense down, she also has a huge self damage steroid in her EX skill as well as extra damage against marked enemies. However, while she is extremely effective against single enemies, the moment there are multiple she falls off a cliff. Her mark is completely random in terms of what enemy it targets, and her AI is plain stupid in that it will often just ignore said marked enemy. Annoying to use in general PVE content but still amazing for things like credit stage.

Skill level priority: Normal skill -> Sub skill -> Passive skill

Akane

EX Skill: Deal damage to an enemy equal to 547% of her attack power to one enemy and reduce its defense by 29% for seconds (2 cost)

Normal Skill: Every 40 seconds deal damage equal to 396% of her attack power to one enemy

Passive Skill: Increases her movement speed by 14%

Sub Skill: 10% chance of reducing the enemy’s evasion by 6.7% for 30 seconds after attacking (5 second CD)

Analysis: Akane is rather lackluster in most PVE content. Like Maki, she only shines in content where this is a single enemy due to her EX being a defense break. Unlike Maki however, she has no self damage steroids and with her weapon being a handgun, she has one of the lowest attack stats in the game. Only use her for things like raid or credit stage.

Skill level priority: Passive skill -> Sub skill -> Normal skill

Sumire

EX Skill: Deals damage equal to 742% of her attack power to enemies within an area (3 cost)

Normal Skill: Increase her attack by 25.2% for 20 seconds every 40 seconds

Passive Skill: Increases her HP by 14%

Sub Skill: Increases her defense by 13.3% while not affected by crowd control

Analysis: Sumire has a very confused kit. Her EX has a high multiplier for low cost and her normal skill is a strong attack steroid, and yet her passive and sub are both meant for tanks. Her equipment also reflects this as she has a tank set up even though she isn’t particularly tanky. Not a very good unit in general for pve, mainly use her if you need a cheap EX skill cycler.

Skill level priority: Normal skill -> Passive skill -> Sub skill

Fina

EX Skill: Reload immediately and increases her attack power by 29.1% for 30 seconds. Her next 3 attacks have no delay between them (4 cost)

Normal Skill: When she drops below 20% hp restore health equal to 355% of her healing power (once per fight)

Passive Skill: Increases her critical rate by 14%

Sub Skill: If she doesn’t move for 10 seconds increase her attack speed by 20.1%

Analysis: Fina isn’t good in general pve. Her kit requires her to stay still to maximize DPS, which isn’t really a thing for most stages, nor does she really have any AoE. Only really useful for the credit stage if you have no blue attackers/raid.

Skill level priority: Passive skill -> Sub skill -> Normal skill

Kotori

EX Skill: Move all allies within a circular area to a specified location and then activate a shield equal to 175% of her healing power (4 cost)

Normal Skill: Every 35 seconds deal damage equal to 269% of her attack power to enemies in a fan-shaped area

Passive Skill: Increases her critical damage by 14%

Sub Skill: Increases her critical damage by 20.1% when she lands the killing blow on an enemy

Analysis: Kotori is an AoE healer as a striker, but also mixed with a DPS for some reason. Her utility is heavily impeded in general due to her EX skill taking a long time to activate and that her healing power stat is very low, meaning her shield is weak. Only really use if you have no other options.

Skill level priority: Passive skill -> Normal skill -> Sub skill
